#WOS: 2012 ART BASEL DAY 2 RECAP

Whispers On The Streets came to the Miami Beach Convention Center this past Thursday for the official first day of the day of the Art Basel Miami Beach 2012. The ABMB event is the original of what has now grown into a multi-fair, multiple venue affair and week long expression of all arts and mediums throughout the city.


Some notable artists from Picasso, Warhol, Murakami, Hirst, Haring, & Basquiat were represented at the main show from galleries around the world. Other up and coming artist represented included street artist Retna who’s works have been seen in the Wynnwood district for years. More pics after the jump. Continue reading

ART BASEL RETURNS TO MIAMI BEACH

The world’s most prestigious art show for Modern & Contemporary works comes to the Americas again for its 11th edition on Miami Beach. More then 260 galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia & Africa will participate in this year’s show. Originally started in Switzerland, the Basel brand has recently started another edition in the Hong Kong that will continue to spread it’s art across the world. Over 2000 artists from around the world will take part in this years events from Dec 5th – 8th.
